Victor Halperin (Victor Hugo Halperin) (August 24, 1895 - May 17, 1983) Chicago-born independent director who, along with his producer-brother Edward, made a number of low budget films from the 1920s until the early ’40s, including White Zombie (1932) and Revolt of the Zombies (1936). Unfortunately, their concepts usually exceeded their talent.
